Pushkar fair - weekend trip

Hi
I am planning a weekend trip to Pushkar. Planning to stay on Saturday and be back by Sunday evening. Have never been to that part of the world. Please suggest some budget accomodations available.

How much is "budget"?

I stayed at Hotel Pushkar Palace and had a wonderful room for 600.

I think in any case the Pushkar Fair & the concept of budget travel don't go together very well.

That is to say you may well (or you may well not) find something you consider affordable, but in any class it won't be on any par with what you'd normally be paying.

Finding something on the fly could likewise turn out iffy I suppose; then again people do still seem to report getting by both price-wise and on the fly indeed.

By the time OP posted his message, the fair was nearly over... and I believe it will be finished by the weekend.

After the full moon, the crowds diminish quickly ... that room may very well be back to Rs600 by now (Saturday morning in Pushkar).
