Pushkar Fair dates for 2005

Can anyone tell me the dates for the 2005 Pushkar Camal Fair?

I've been looking on this site and others for a few weeks, and I keep getting different answers. I e'mailed the Indian Consulate in Toronto but got no answer. I'd really like to go and will be in India all of November. Thanks for the help.

The last day for Pushkar Mela always coincides with the November Full Moon, and it starts 5 days before that.

The full Moon after Diwali is on the 15th or 16th of November this year (2005) and Pushkar Mela starts around the 10th.

This year Pushkar Fair is Falling between 07/014 Nov,05.Pushkar fair is famous for its large number of infllux of cattle's.during this period one can enjoy all kind of local cultural performances as well as camel cart race and horce race etc.small suggestions in order to abstain from any snags it is always better to book your Accoomodation well in advance..............there are only three good properties.........01 Pushkar Place,02Pushkar Resort,03Jagat Place....................

Very nice hotels - but they charge at least $200/night during the Camel Fair.

Better deals can be found in some of the many smaller hotels.

And you probably don't need to book in advance. I didn't last year and found a pretty good place without any problems at all.

Agreed - if you are arriving at or before the beginning of the fair. But the crowd grows daily as it progresses.
