i have 6 days only
here is my plan:
-day 0-take overnight train to jodhpur from delhi
-day 1+day 2: sight seeing and shopping in jodhpur
-day 3:early morning private taxi to bundi. stop at kumblagarh and jain temple at ranakpur on the way (doable??)
- stay overnight in bundi (??)

Now it's the day 3 and 4 part that i am confused about.
If i drive early morning from jodhpur, how long will it take to reach kumblagarh? would i be able to make it to the jain temples before they close?
how long total drive from jodhpur to bundi via kumblagarh and ranakpur??
how long of a drive from bundi to jaipur with stop in chottorgarh?

jodhpur to jaipur via bundi-pls help

i want to travel to jaipur from jodhpur. I want to stop at ranakpur, kumbalgarh and bundi.
1) how much is the travel time by car from jodhpur to bundi if i stop to look at the kumbalgarh fort and ranakpur temples?
2) should i spend a night at bundi? or any other nearby place?
3) how much travel time from bundi to jaipur non stop?

i was thinking of driving early morning from jodhpur and finsihing up the tmeple and kublagrah by 1 or 2.
Then drive to same place by the end of the day (shahpura? chittorgarh?) and sleep.
next day drive to bundi, spend half day and spend rest of the day travelling to jaipur so that i reach jaipur by night.

but the road map is so confusing i cannot figure out times and where to stop between bundi and jodhpur for overnight stay.
Please help!!

I am not directly familiar with the length of the drives involved, but would urge you to have at least 5 hours in Chittorgarh. In our Rajasthan trip (Jaipur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh), the day trip to Chittorgarh was the highlight! If anything, Jaipur was overrated.

All the best!

It seems a bit too full. Jodphur Ranakpur is 2,5 - 3 hours. Ranakpur - Kumbalgarh is 90 minutes. Kumbalgarh - Bundi at least 5. Same for Bundi - Jaipur. Unles you're jain you can only visit Ranakpur in the afternoon. You have to look at a more leasurely pace.

oh really? how would they know if i am jain or not, i can say i am
anyways so let me see if i got this right.
Jodphur to Ranakpur -- 3 hrs (??)
Ranakpur - Kumbalgarh -- 1.5 hrs
Kumbalgarh - Bundi -- 5 hrs
bundi - Jaipur - 5 hrs
plus i'll have to add another 2 or so hrs for kumbalgarh and ranakpur stops. This does seem very busy.

I there any place in between bundi and kumbalgarh where i can sleep?
that way i can leave for bundi next day, spend half a day and then travel to jaipur.
thanks for your help.

They will know - can't explain until you see it for yourself... don't miss it, its amazing. We went from Udaipur, saw Kumbalgarh in the morning, Ranakpur in the afternoon and then overnighted at the Ghanerao Royal Castle - lovely little village and atmospheric castle. Next day we went to Jodhpur - both legs by car. Also - Bundi is lovely! At least overnight there.. if it were me to do again I'd leave out Jaipur altogether and spend more time in Bundi...

If this is your first time in Rajasthan (can't tell from your post), Ranakpur Jain temples are not to be missed -- so it's good that you included. But I just can't countenance skipping Jaisalmer entirely. If I were you, I would just skip Jaipur and make Jaisalmer the focus and re-do the itinerary.
