need to book safari/room for Ranthambore?
Hi, I d like to take a jeep safari at Ranthambore and also stay overnight on Wed Oct 17, 2007. I have been having challenges getting reservations...
1) the online safari booking system is down... 2) i called and emailed hotel RTDC Vinayak and the Rajasthan Tourism directly to book a room and jeep safari but they won't give me a confirmation # and simply take my details and ask that i call again when i arrive in India eary Oct.  3) am i visiting during a peak time Do I need to continue calling and pressing? Or can I just show up and book hotel and jeep safari when I arrive at Ranthambore? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

I wouldn't worry about the room accomodation. As they suggest, call when you are have settled into India. But when you call them start to turn up the heat on the jeep situation. There seems to be an ebb & flow as to their availability .... and a possible booking prejudice from certain hotels/guest houses when the park is at it's full visitor capacity. Midweek is usally a good bet though as the hordes of "Indian weekend warriors" will be busy at work!

goyaltanuj, Looks like website is accepting reservations now for the safaris....but....I m having problems with the online payment...i m getting the message "Card Bin Stop Listed"....anybody else having the same issues? Tried 2 different visa cards..no luck...website isn't accepting mastercard at the moment it appears...I wonder if my card being from Toronto, Ontario, Canada has something to do with it.... ...any ideas? Thanks in advance... |

Yes you are right, there may be problem with master card...please try with visa card..or you can tell your tour operator to book the same for you... |
