Need help with 8 day trip in Rajasthan
Hi,
I'm planning a trip to Rajasthan in November and would love your help. I've always wanted to go to India, so I want this trip to be great. I'll be hiring a car with a driver for most of the trip, except for the train we'll take from Jaipur-Jaisalmer.Is there something I'm missing? Is it too much to do in 7 nights? Any other suggestions? Nov.9th - Fly from Mumbai to Jaipur Nov. 10th - Jaipur and take night train to Jaisalmer Nov. 11th - Jaisalmer Nov 12th - Jaisalmer Nov. 13th - Drive from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur Nov. 14th - Jodhpur Nov.15th - Drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur Nov 16th - Fly from Udaipur to Goa Thank you so much! Read back a few posts for similar posts. Most responses are that the OP is travelling long distances to spend very little time at each destination. Jaisalmer to Jodhpur is at least 6 hours. Ditto to Udaipur. Jodhpur for a day? Udaipur for a day?

So which bit confused you there then Oceantragic?! I was saying that a few people have recently posted questions re seeing the same places (mentioned here) on a very tight schedule ... and that the responses have been along the lines of too much time travelling for too little time at each place. I don't think people realize how long and tiring the journeys are. Effectively a day lost on just travelling to each destination ... and recovering from the journey!

Thank you so much for your help. I think you are both right, so I've decided to cut Jaipur and just do Udaipur - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - Khuri.
