Need Help planning a trip in Rajasthan

Planning to go with my friends in india.

I have about 6/7 days.
I will be leaving form bombay.
if anyone can help me out with itenirary, that would be helpful.

Planning to go to Jesalmer/Desert Safari, Udaipur/Jaipur.

You really don't have very long! Not sure you'll get to see everywhere you want to very easily in that time, if at all.

Are you planning to go by train? Or hiring a car and driver? Are you able to take flights from place to place? What is your budget? What's the most important thing for you, and what could you drop if you had to?

If you take a look at the Maha Rajasthan Itinerary Info thread, this will give you some idea where to start. It covers some 7 day itineraries, and also trips from Delhi to Mumbai (so run it backwards!).
Also in there is information on trains in Rajasthan, and car and driver tours, as well as ideas on where to go and where to stay.

In the Railways forum are details of all trains, and there's a Train Info thread where you can post any questions about how to get from A to B.

Once you have a clearer idea of where you're going, for how long, how you're going to get there, and how much you have to spend, people can help you refine your trip. More specific questions will get better answers (e.g. how long is the train journey from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer? or Which is better, Udaipur or Jaisalmer?) too. Good luck!

i am confused again..


i have about 5/7 days. and we are going to be driving up to rajensthan form ahmedabad.

then we have that whole time frame with our driver to see rajesthan. We really want to see Ajmer and Jesalmer. and also want to see Jaipur &/or Udaipur.

can someone give me options.. or ideas... i am really stressed over planning this as the time is getting closer

djarpit !!! to have the things covered in good relax manner and great amount of comfort just catch a fligh from ahmedbad straight to jaipur. from thereon you culd go like this-

jaipur-ajmer,pushkar[enroute] to udaipur- jodhpur-jaisalmer

the driving time netween each city to next would not be so long pklus will get a chance to see some more place as enroute.hiring a taxi will make you enbale and better to adjust as per you wish and you can stop at anywhere you want , would not be rush through ..will get best of best what you are looking for.
