Rajasthan: Nagaur Camel Fair in February!?!
Of course I know the Pushkar camel fair is really famous and a pretty big deal, but how about the rest of them. In particular, the one in Nagaur that is going to be held from February 12 to the 15th.
I'm interested in hitting up the camel fair and hopefully buying one along the way to ride around town for a couple of hours before ditching it. But, nowhere in this entire forum is there any mention of a small town called Nagaur. Has anyone ever been to the Camel fair there, or any of the smaller ones that may be comprable to this. Lonely planet claims that thousands make it there each year. Its funny, we've kind of arranged our entire 5 week itinerary around this camel fair that we have absolutely no clue about. Anyway, please help to provide me with some kind of clue, what to expect or if its even worth going to. Thanks in advance... Last edited by Tbone144 : Jan 11th, 2005 at 15:45. |
