I was in there for 5 days in 2000, a bit long time ago but I don't think there 's a huge change . Hotel " lake view " was excellent - quiet, good location, can see the lake anytime and had proper price. I payed for 250 rupees for double - you can see the lake when you open the door - and there were also single rooms too. Of course , you can negociate the price.
Have a nice trip... |

what young 9 says is a real valid point.
i went to mt abu long back, so i dont remember where exactly i stayed. but any hotel on the Nakki lake area, overlooking the lake is a very good bet. you may still be in time to get an "off season" discount in feb... indian winter winds up by jan end... and its only in summer that hill stations such as mt. abu see a rush. good luck. |

We stayed at the Shree Ganesh in mid-Jan. Rs300 for a double room with TV and attached bathroom with hot water. See the hotel listing.

What is your budget
Hello,
I am from Mount abu itself.. It all depends on your budget.. you may get rooms in off seasons as low as Rs. 50 per day..but in season it may cost you more then 2000, or it may be possible that you may not get any room for any cost. I observed it during Deepawali (Deepawali + 7 days) which falls in the month of Oct.-Nov. |

I was in Shree Ganesh, too.
It's basic, but friendly and clean (and very cheap, we paied about 150 for a room with a kind of private bathroom) lalit_ganesh@yahoo.co.in About Lake View, we wanted to stay there, but they asked for a lot of money (I mean, about 800 for an anonymous and not too clean room). Also, I met other travelers who told they agreed for a price, and at the moment of leaving they were asked to pay more. |

Shree Ganesh
Currently staying at the Shree Ganesh.
Very nice place, we've managed to get a double room, private bathroom and cable Tv for 200 R... All the staff are friendly, helpful... good internet access, a small book trading scheme and a decent cafe downstairs and a rooftop restaurant... Highly recommended in my book. You won't regret it. ![]() |
