Mt. Abu and Udaipur - Itenarary help needed

I wish to see Mt Abu and Udaipur over a period of 7 days. Hence I plan to split my trip in to two

Fly in/out of Ahmedabad or Udaipur

So from Bangalore I fly to Ahmedabad take a train to Mt. Abu stay in Mt. Abu for few days, take a bus to Udaipur, stay there for few days and then take a flight back to Bangalore.

Could anyone tell me how many days is Mt. Abu worth and how many day is Udaipur worth in your opinion.

Also I wish to know some decent places to stay in Udaipur

I have done some research using web and Lonely planet, but I want your input on the ground realities

2 days at Mt.Abu. One full day in Udaipur, visit Kumbhalgarh & Ranakpur from Udaipur as well as Chittorgarh. You can fly to Ahmedabad & then may be Udaipur to Delhi by overnight train & then fly out of Delhi to Bangalore. Check out budget airlines for your Delhi Bangalore flight.
