Large Panoramic - Amber and the Fort
This panoramic photo was taken looking out to the north from high upon one of the great walls that helped fortify this small town of Amber. All of the way to the left we see the famous Amber Fort where elephants take tourist for rides up that long walkway leading up to the fort. Looking in the center of this photo you will see one of the grate walls running along the ridge line, following the wall down you see where 2 small roads going through it. Behind you when you go all of the way to the right you will see the wall continuing up the steep hill.
Looking down to the right of the wall you will see a building with a small field, to the right of it is one of the places where a lot of the elephants are kept. There are also a lot of temples to bee seen here, I’m sorry but I don’t know there names. You will need Flash Player 9 to view this: http://www.camelphotos.com/amber_overview.html Some of the buildings will look crooked, this is from taking the photo looking down and it gives a round horseshoe effect. |

These 2 panoramic photos are small so you won’t be able to zoom in much.
View from the Amber Fort looking into town. Down below you can see some of the elephants bringing tourist up to the fort. http://www.camelphotos.com/amber_overview2.html From the Jaigarh fort. View of Town and the backside of the Amber Fort. All of the way to the right, far off in the distance you can see an lake with a palace in it, this is the Jal Mahal http://www.camelphotos.com/amber_overview3.html |

Of coarse what would type of a tour guide would I be if I didn’t show you the elephants while we were at the Amber Fort. So here they are, close enough that you can almost touch them.
http://camelphotos.com/amber_elephants.html And if you haven’t seen this page showing the elephants in 360VR panoramas, you may want to. http://www.camelphotos.com/elephants.html Can’t get much closer that these. |

Here’s one that opens with QuickTime that I just finished. It’s an old animal drawn water well. I like doing ones like this where most people can’t figure out how it was done http://www.camelphotos.com/india2/well.html |

Fascinating. It looks just like the well scene from Bandit Queen. Could it be the same one?
