| Kota and Baroli Hi I would be spending 5 days in the hadoti region. I have planned to give 3 days to bundi, 1 for jhalawar and 1 for kota. 1. Is it worth staying for 1 whole day in kota? I would also like to see some of the chambal ravines. Do you know any places? 2. How far is baroli from kota? How do i reach baroli(preferably bus). 3. from which place do you get the best views of bhainsrorgarh? It;s a really expensive place so won't be staying there. |

| 1. Kota is not that much touristy but will be a base station for a visit to Baroli, Rawatbhata, Bhainsrorgarh. For chambal ravines you may go to Jahawarsagar(On the way to Rawatbhata), the Ranapratapsagar area of Rawatbhata etc. 2. Baroli is around 50 Km from Kota on the way to Rawatbhata. Baroli to Rawatbhata is only 5 Km. Any transport from Kota to Rawatbhata will do. There are regular State Transport buses and shared jeep service available for Rawatbhata. The starting location for bus and jeep stop is 'Ghorewala Baba Chauraha' at Kota. 3. Bhainsrorgarh is not a big area, it is around 5 Km from Rawatbhata on the way to Chittorgarh. The fort has been converted to a star hotel. You may go up to the top of the hill to see the fort area and of course the river Chambal and some part of Aravalli. 4. Probably I uploaded some photographs of Bhainsrorgarh and river Chambal of Rawatbhata in my member gallery. Shyamal |

| Unfortunately Rawatbhata does not have any Auto/Taxi service. The best option will be to hire a vehicle from Kota, do all the visits at Baroli,Rawatbhta and Bhains.. and may go back to Kota. Private vehicle(Like Sumo, Car etc on hire) is also available at Rawatbhata. Kota to Baroli will take around one hour. Shyamal |

| And will i be able to get a bus back to kota in the night- at abt 8pm? Are the views of the chambal best near bhainsrorgarh or should i also try the boat rides at kota? |

| You will get, but the early the better. Bhainsroadgarh has a good view of Chambal. You should also club submersible bridge at Rawatbhata near Sentab on the way to Bhainsroadgarh. Boat ride at Kota will also be a unique experience. Shyamal |

| I came to know from the tourist reception centre that there are just 4-5 buses a day to rawatbhatta. And taxi will cost too much. So maybe i'll skip bhainsrorgarh. But even then if i manage to reach, then any place where i can get a boat ride or something? And from which place in kota will i get boat rides which will take me deep into the ravines? And any other place close by where i'll get good views? |

There is no boat ride facility at Rawatbhata/Bhaisroadgarh over Chambal. The speed boat(motor boat) ride facility is available at chambal garden Kota. So far I remember it covers a round of half an hour. You can get good views at Gandhisagar, Rawatbhata and at Jawharsagar. These three places have dams over the river Chambal. There is a place called Borabas in the midway of Kota-Rawatbhata road. You have to take a right turn from Borabas and travel around 10 Km to reach Jawharsagar. Gandhisagar is in MP and around 50 Km from Rawatbhata. Shyamal

| So which one should i choose -kota boat ride or bhainsrorgarh(without a taxi). My train arrives in kota at 11am. So should i proceed towards bhainsrorgarh on the same day and return in the evening or should i go on the second day? |

.However getting down at kota at 1100 hrs and travelling through public transport up to Bhainsroadgar(the fort area I mean) and again coming back to kota by 2000 hrs may not be suitable for a newcomer. But as per the feedback I received, you can do it Shyamal
