july travel
We might have some time left of our 3 weeks trip to Spiti. Would you go to Rajasthan last week of July ? May be Ajmer, Mt. Abu, Udaipur. We are somewhat worried of the heat. Thank you for your suggestions.

Many people go to Rajasthan in July because it is one of the few places least affected by the monsoon. It can be hot but if you do your itinerary you should be o.k. The extreme west - Barmer, Jaisalmer and Bikaner are the places to feel the effect of the monsoon last of all. East Rajasthan and the southern areas would normally get some rain by the end of July and temps. are cooler - in 30's and up to higher 30's but bearable.

July is a great time to visit Rajasthan. No crowds, the temperatures are cooler again and some refreshing showers!
The desert cities are still quite hot at this time so best is to head for the South. Udaipur, Mount Abu, Bundi Usually the heavy rains visit Rajasthan only in August. In July the days are cloudy but it is raining usually in the afternoon for an hour. This refreshes the air and brings cool evenings and nights. |
