jaisalmer "slippers"

When we were in Jaisalmer back in 1997 I bought a pair of "embroided" slip on leather shoes that so many of the locals wear. Although they are still wearable, the stitching on the uppers is now starting to go.

We are travelling to the south this time - does anybody know if anything similar is available in Mysore/Kochi for example?

I'd love to get another pair as they are the most comfortable shoes for around the house/garden.

I don't know if you'll find them in the south or not, but you could bring the old ones with you and have them restitched and restored. They'd be good as new after some Indian TLC.
