Jaipur or Jodhpur?

if you had to choose one to visit which would it be and why?

Though I really haven't spent much time in either lately, I would say hands down that Jaipur is the better place to go to.

More things to see, more shopping, the big cinema, pizza huts, etc..etc...

Jodhpur has it's attractions, but given the choice I would pick Jaipur any day.

i much prefered jodhpur.

in jaipur i had fantastic accomodation (thanks again Lily) had a great time with the locals (playing pool) and went on some great days out away from jaipur, the food was great, But the hassle from the touts was the worst ive ever had, there so good and so friendly, it is very difficult to get rid of them, then immediatly there is another one.

the pallace of the winds is a major dissapointment, and the city is very neatly laid out, very un-indian, all in all i just didnt like the 'feeling' of the city. (just my opinion).

jodhpur on the other hand, my accomodation was awful, didnt go on any day trips, the winding back streets that go on forever are guarenteed to get you lost, but i just loved the place, those back streets are amazing, the locals are fantastic and friendly, no hassle from touts, i didnt want to leave, but i did- for 5 days in Jaipur........
