Info on Madhuban in Jaipur?

Hey Mickey,

I noticed on one of the other threads you mentioned that you stayed at the Madhuban in Jaipur.Well,we too are thinking of staying there. It looks really nice and 'heritage-y'.

Can you tell me what it's like...would you recommend it?

Do you think they would put an extra bed in a double room for my young daughter?

Any advice/thoughts greatly appreciated.

TIA.

hakies, it might be a better idea to send a private message to Mickey S. you don't know if he will see this post, so send him a private message. click on his name and it will say "send private message" and a window will pop up for you to type your message.

I sent you a private message with this above message so you can see how it works....

I also changed the title of this thread so as to direct this to other members who might have the information you seek.

enjoy IndiaMike!

Madhuban

We've never stayed there though we visited with management this year in December because we get clients who request it. It's very nice. We thought it interesting that they would not quote us for their cheapest rooms which they say they do not offer to "travel agents' but save for "walk ups". The will only let us reserve the "super deluxe" rooms in advance which according to their tariff card are rs 1900 for a double. A "deluxe" room is rs 1400. This is before taxes. They have a whole lot of rules and regulations posted at reception, which we suppose means they are very careful about their guests. It's very well maintained. There's a nice swimming pool, and they have a back up generator which can be very important in the hot season.
Extra person/bed is Rs 350, so yes they will put in an extra bed for you.
