How to get Ajmer from Udaipur?
Only bus to take? Anyone knows how much and how long it is ?
If we stay for one night and take the night train to Delhi on the next day, should we find a hotel in Pushkar? If so, does bus go directly to Pushkar? Thanks a lot!! |

Bus shouldt take too long I'd be guessing but less than 4 hrs, experts will log on and give you a 100% opinion

Hi, There are no trains between Udaipur and Ajmer, only bus services available. Rajasthan State Roadways department run deluxe bus services at 2100 hrs, 22000hrs, 2300hrs and takes 6-7hrs.

If you are going to Pushkar, I would suggest taking the overnight sleeper (dlx) from Pushkar right to Delhi (saves a lot of hassle and doesn't take too long). I think it's 250 Rs and can be booked at any travel agency- leaves at 7:30 Pm and lays over in AJmer for about 1 hour.

Thank Margot. Someone told me it's better to take train than bus when traveling over night so....but I will keep in mind.

Hehehe- I don't k now what you mean by 'better' but it is certainly more expensive and more hassle to take a train than it is to just hop on a bus. You can book a sleeper so you can lay down and I personally think it's nicer 'cause you have your own little pod. It's bumpier, too, though. Have fun!
