How long to stay in Mt Abu?

Hi everyone,

I've currently budgeted just a couple of full days in Mt Abu in my itinerary - arrive latish-on on day 1 from Jodhpur, full days 2 and 3 and then a bus on day 4 to Udaipur.

Is a couple of days enough time to spend there do you think? There are some fascinating things to see in Mt Abu but I wondered if there was anything in the general vicinity people would recommend that might require an extra full day there?

For me that did quite nicely..

2 days is good enough for Mt Abu. I had been there recently. Reached early morning around 6:30 on Day 1. Booked a cab to see Nakki Lake and Sunset point around 4:30. Reached hotel at around 6:30. Next day the same cab around 9:00 took us to other places of Mt Abu except Gaumukh and we were back at the hotel at around 5:00 in the evening. On Day 3 we left Mt Abu for Udaipur via Ranakpur and Haldighati.

Do not miss Gurushikar, Achalgarh Jain Temple and the Dilwara Jain Temple.

Thanks for the advice - I've definitely decided on two days now

2 days is enough for Mt. Abu. One dat to watch the Jain temples and other for different sight seing like Sun set, nakki lake etc.

My personal experience two years back says that 1.5 days is sufficient for Mt Abu. I reached Mt Abu from Udaipur by afternoon on Day 1 and left late afternoon the next day. (Caught a train at Abu Road to Mumbai).

According to me,two full days are adequate for the entire scenery. You will be able to cover almost all the visitable areas.
