How Cold? - Delhi and Rajasthan in Jan /Dec.

My wife and I will be travelling in Delhi and Rajasthan from 20th Dec to 7th Jan. In Rajasthan we will be on a horse treck for some 10 days, 3 nights in tents and the rest in heritage hotels (and I gather unlikely to be heated) Just how cold can it get? What chances wind / rain. Reason I ask is to optimise packing - we shall be heading to Kerala for a couple of weeks afterwards and don't want to drag too much baggage (already have helmets and boots to contend with)

Is sending stuff back to NZ by post / courier a feasable option? I also have considered leaving less-than-new) winter clothing with a Kashmir earthquake charity in Delhi. Does anyone know of such an organisation

Cheers, more like "Chills"!

That sounds really cold whether it's F or C. I'm glad I won't be in a tent myself.

'Course it's 0 degrees F where I am now, and there's no polite way to describe how cold that feels.
