My favourite places to stay are:
Jaisalmer - Fifu's Guest House
Pushkar - Seventh Heaven
Jaipur - Hotel Madhuban
Jodhpur - Pal Haveli
I always stay in these places when in those cities; they are not the cheapest, but offer excellent location, accommodation and value for money.
But I think you're going to have a hard time finding something good in any of those places at Christmas/New Year if you haven't already booked.

As far as my experience goes....
There are no buses going from Jaisalmer to Pushkar...
(there might be a few buses, but then the service would be too infrequent.)
But in any case... Jodhpur is much better connected to Ajmer... So I would suggest you to go to Jodhpur instead and take any night service to Ajmer...
Remember we are talking about the largest state in India... buses are not so good, so are the roads.... if I were you, I would have looked for the option of traveling by train instead

how many days i should stay in jaisalmar
Friends I know this is a very stupid question but as I had seen there are lot many place/spot to visit in Jaisalmar, actually I have planned for three days two night, but it seems that I wont be covering all the tourist spot as couple of places is quite far from Jaisalmar, so I am bit confused. SO if some once can help me or rather suggest me how I should plan.

Abishek, many people stay only two nights and three days in Jaisalmer - they can see most points of interest with this schedule. Some however stay only one night (far too rushed from my point of view), others stay a week or so. With three full days e.g. arrive early morning train, leave overnight bus to Pushkar - yes, there is one but I did it once and wouldn't do it again - or train to Jodhpur overnight, early morning bus from there to Pushkar, you can cover city and outside city sightseeing, even do a camel ride out in the desert.
Every cloud has a silver lining!
