Driving distance in time: Udaipur-Mt Abu

I can figure out the kilometers, but I would really appreciate hearing from people who have made this drive -- in a hired car with driver -- how long you think it takes in time to go from Udaipur to Mout Abu.

Also if you know this territory and can mention any place you wuold stop along the way, either to see things or to eat or even to sleep, please include that too!

The road is not too wide, but I hear most of the drivers go very fast. Our guy was 'average' and we reached in about 4 and a half hours. There isn't any place worth stopping on the way, you may stop at some road side 'dhaba' for food or drink - the driver would guide you.
the road passes through some tribal areas, and the drivers are keen to make it back to Udaipur before sunset. What we did was to ask the driver to stay on with us, and return the next day morning, was cheaper than hiring another day taxi in Mt. Abu.

I drove on that road 4 years back..will take 4-5 hours..

As Rajeev as mentioned there is a stretch of the road populated by tribal population and its best advised to travel in daylight only. The road condition was quite good at that time..

I'm hoping to visit Mount Abu & Bundi/Kota in early Jan. Is there a way from Mount abu to Bundi direct, or would i need to go via Udaipur??? KK
