Contact/Website needed! Hotel Amet Haveli Udaipur Rajasthan

I am (finally!) going to Udaipur in January!

I was hoping to stay at the hotel Amet Haveli, but can only find agents advertising the hotel. Does anyone know a contact or website for the hotel direct in order that I can communicate directly?

Has anyone any up to date reviews?!?

I tried to book there and never received a reply to my emails so we ended up staying at Haveli on the Lake which was great & only 1 minute's walk away from Amet (see review). We did eat at Ambrai which is the restaurant at Amet - it was really lovely and the haveli looked very nice although we didn't see any rooms. You could try finding the number for Ambrai - I'm pretty sure its in the LP - then they might put you in touch with Amet...

I decided I wasn't going to ring up anywhere and booked everything by email so I sent off two or three and whoever replied got the booking basically.

Thanks for this... Have never travelled so far north before, mainly Mumbai and south. Am planning on going to Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur if you have any other recommendations...?

Haveli on the Lake Udaipur, Fifu or Desert moon in Jaisalmer - we stayed at Haveli Guesthouse in Jodphur, it was fine - good rooftop. Check out the review section, its excellent, just choose the place and then sort on rating or something (that's what I did!).

Meeten - Kristinm stayed there, and also I stayed there last year in early February. It is very nice - you can check out a review I put for it in Hotels section. The only thing is it has some quite steep steps to get up to it, although there is a larger room under the house with less steps. And also a dog, which if you don't like dogs, will be annoying - but it is a very friendly, harmless dog and shouldn't bother you.

Meeten - its really lovely, as Aishah said if you don't like dogs you will have a problem - and toddlers would have to be watched carefully on the steps (but then where in India wouldn't you have to watch toddlers on steps!??)
