Reason: fixed title
You mean Pushkar? When will you be there? Prices vary acording to whether you're trying to get to the camel fair or if you're passing through in the off season!

Try Purple Garden Hotel - it is very basic but clean - there are no washbasins in the bathrooms however. It is in walking distance of everything and in a quieter location. Email:

Manager, Pawan is very friendly, English speaking and helpful.

My friend is an old hippie, been to india before, spiritual person, blues singer, looking for nice, moderate priced hotel with atmosphere. She'll be there in December.

Purple Garden used to be an ashram, but I am not so sure about 'atmosphere'. I have also stayed in Navratan Palace Hotel with a lovely clean swimming pool and garden - started being overtaken by Israelis but I think the Manager regulated the all night parties they were having. That place sort of has atmosphere because it is directly opposite a noisy all night temple! December you are not going to need a swimming pool..
People coming here told me Seventh Heaven was quite good - I think there is a posting here for it somewhere.

Stayed at Sri Palace by the bus station years ago. Was economical and a fun place to stay.Lot's of other travelers there, plus they had a nice restaurant on the roof where we had alot of fun. BUT it was 9 years ago, so.....
