Camel Trek to Pushkar
Hi,
Im going to be in Rajasthan in a couple of days time and Im hoping to do a camel trek to Pushkar for the camel fair in November. Can anyone recommend a good trek? Whats the best starting point? Any ideas on cost? Does anyone know the exact dates of the fair? Thanks  |

think the fair is 12-15 nov but carrys on till 18th.
see you there maybe? we arrive in pushkar on the 15th |

camels...
Hi there! I'm in pushkar--I did a camel trek--only a short one--one night and it cost 350 rupees, which included two meals.
The festival is about 2 weeks long. It starts around the 8th--the first part of the festival is supposedly the most interesting (that's when the camel trading takes place!) I am leaving, but considering coming back for it. Beware that you are unlikely to find a place for under 600 rupees (the room I am in, which is 170r is going up to 1500r starting on the 8th!) sorry to bump such an old thread, but i was hoping that someone might know of some up to date treks that will take in the pushkar festival this year? my gf and i are looking to travel there in oct/nov ..
