Camel ride in Jodhpur?
Hi - We are planning a trip to Jodhpur in March. Can anyone recommend a good outfitter for a camel ride? I am envisioning a short drive, a one hour ride, "lunch on the dunes", and return. We are not interested in a long safari.
Many thanks. |

A day trip to Osiyan Village would help is this case, bus every hour from the Goverment bus stand to and from Osiyan. 60 km away from Jodhpur, gate way to the Thar desert, a camel per person would cost about 250 per camel/per person for 1 and half our ride to a good sand dune for sun set(no lunch),nice temples(Jain and Hindu). There is Reggies desert camp(Fancy) on the sand dune, serves very good food and has swimming pool. There are nice little eating joints in osiyan, try daal, baat, churma.
