Bundi or Chittorgarh?
Bundi or Chittorgarh?
I'm still working on my trip plans (making sure I have the budget to do everything I want to!) and am wondering which would be best?
2 nights / 1.5 days in Bundi + 1 night / 0.5 day in Chittorgarh
or
1 night / 0.5 day in Bundi + 2 nights / 1.5 days in Chittorgarh?
What do you think? I'll have a car and driver at that point so the timing's fairly flexible. I'm happy to just wander and don't need to be doing frantic 'tourist-ing'. Which has the nicer atmosphere? Is one more interesting or different than the other?
I know it's all very subjective, but what do you think?
Thanks!

The fort at Chittor is interesting the town itself is pretty uninspiring to be honest see the fort and move on.

Chittor all the way. It's the largest, finest fort we have. See this thread : Chittorgarh Fort on the way to Udaipur?.
You need a day to explore the fort. Do read up a bit prior to the visit - there's more to the place than just padmini mahal. It has history, folklore and tales all combined ...

Chittorgarh only for the fort.
Kedar Janani Devasthan, Mt Abu - Udaipur, Bharatpur, Agra, Gwalior, Orchha, Jhansi

I loved all of Bundi, while the fort was the only attraction in Chittorgarh, but there are many heritage hotels close to Chittor.
And Chittor is more evocative in the evening light,so it makes sense staying there and not just visiting it for a couple of hours at mid day.
