bharatpur bird sactuary situation
We were there three years ago in January and because of drought
conditions over the previous years, birds did not come there - we were disappointed and there was no water in the lake. How are the condition now ? any rain - i mean good rain - this year ? Thanks. craztravel |

I believe the rains in 2008 were good and when I went there at the end of March this year there was water and I saw quite a lot of birds. In comparison Udaipur's lake was lacking water, but this year's rains have filled that up a lot more, so hopefully it's done the same for Keoladeo.
Shame there doesn't seem to be a webcam available

You might want to search for a recent thread about the state of the lakes in Udaipur, it contained a lot of useful information.

[quote=KABAARY;838560]What has the lake in Udaipur got to do with Bharatpur ?QUOTE]
I mentioned Udaipur as it has a web cam and I can see from that webcam that its water levels are much, much higher than they were in April when I visited. One week before Udaipur I was in Keoladeo and at that time it had water, so it's natural to presume that its water levels have risen too, therefore answering the OP's question...about how it is now, compared to three years ago. |
