| Best way to reach Mount Abu ? I am planning to visit Mt Abu on 20th december from Kolkata. Whats the best way ? 1. Kolkata -> Mt Abu : direct flight, i could not find any  2. Kolkata -> (flight)-> Jaipur ->(bus/train ?) MtAbu ? 3. Kolkata -> (flight)-> Ahmedabad ->(bus/train ?) MtAbu ? What would be the best ? In terms of cost as well as time involved ? |

 | Ahmedabad to Mt. Abu is @ 230 km (Luxury bus or Taxi is available on regular basis) Jaipur to Mt. Abu is @ 450 km (I am not so sure about availability of transport up to Mt. Abu) |

| Check for a flight into Jodhpur. Then you can easily take the train down(almost always the cheapest and most comfortable option) to Abu Road. I am not sure how the price of flying into Jaipur/Ahm/Jodhpur compare but there are both buses and trains available from all these cities. I wouldn't even consider the bus from Jaipur to Mt. Abu. That is a heck of a long way by bus. |

| Cheap option will be to fly to Ahmedabad and then take taxi/bus/train to Mt Abu |

| The distance is about 185 km. If you pay for the round trip then that would mean about 370 km. You should be able to get a taxi for Rs 8/ km. Even for Rs 10 km that would be Rs 3700 or about USD 75/ Probably more like USD 60 = Rs 3000 |
