Akal fossil forest

Hi all,

I'm travelling with friends next October in Western Rajastan, planning to chill around Jaisalmer...
I was wondering if anyone has info about the Akal fossil forest: ant suggestion regarding this ancient archeologic temple of nature?

Its a few kilometers from jaisalmer railway station. One can hire a RIKSHAW for a day and cover all the places. You will have to specifically tell the rikshaw man about the inclusion of AKAL FOSSIL forest and tell him that he has to take the vehicle right inside and not to leave at the gate. The road inside the park is very rough. As a Geologist you will definately like the same, others may not like the same. It is quite a big fossil. There is a small entrance fees charged by the Govt., of Rajasthan. If you are going along with your children, do carry their identity card, so that they can visit the park at a discounted rate.
