Moving to Urmr Tanda Punjab from NYC

My boyfriend and I want to get married but we can not get married in USA we have to move to India to settle. I have never been to india. I am from indian descent but i dont know anything. His mom is sick, terribly ill and she wants him back there, do u have any advice for me?

a big big leap ahead...cant tell you if its easy or tough, it depends upon you.
But be prepared to accept however life it is if you are valuing relations above anything else. Its nice thought though mentally you should be ready enough. It will be big cultural change...not only cultural,complete change in lifestyle no matter even if you are punjabi. Your habits related to food, clothing, interacting with people...thr will be major change. I am not demotivating you in anyway but if you are positive about it, no matter you can live anywhere in world with right partner.
Get your cosmetics and other much needed stuff for about 2-3 months in advance because it will take time to get used to local environment. let me know in case you need any help, PM me.
I am born brought up in punjab but working outside so bit used to both sides.
