help me findg acco in KALKA

as i am reaching KALKA-HP.
At mid night & my toy train to SHIMLA is at 6.am.
I want to stay at KALKA. any good ACCO-medium.
Plz info me.
also wht wil be the climate on MARCH 2nd week.
Vry cold or ?
i have to carry heavy woolen clothes.
plz help me on the climate of KALKA , SHIMLA & MANALI as i reachnig thr at 08-03-08

There are plenty of hotels on the road that leads from Kalka railway station. Most the hotels are at the low end but some want top end prices.

Weather should be ok. I went a few years ago in July. The weather in Punjab and Haryana was very hot but at Kalka it was fine and a bit cooler than Chandigarh.

i dont know if it is in haryana or himachal......but the train goes only till kalka.....i do not want to take the steam engines uphill to shimla so just wondering how long will it take to reach shimla

2 - 3 Hours depending on speed and stops!

Kalka to Shimla by train is about 94 kms.19-20 stations and 121 (approx) tunnels en route.Barog is an important station in this narrow gauge route. Shivalik Express is the best train in this route dep.5.30 hrs.from KLK.and arrv. Simla at 10.15 hrs.Journey time 5.15 hrs.
