Farming in the Punjab and visiting Srinigar

We hope to visit the Punjab in June on our way to Kashmir.We are farmers in QLD,Australia and would be very interested to see how an Indian farm works compared to our broadacre farming.We will arrive in Mumbai and head to Jalandhar ,then on to Amritsar.From there hopefully up to Srinigar.I would be pleased to hear from any IMikers that have been around the area lately.Thankyou and kindest cheers.

Firstly, I am sorry for not adding any information to this post and apologise to Callous for adding my bit here but I am requiring more or less the same information.

I am living and working in Delhi, have been in India since the middle of February, and I am from a farming background, father farmed a mixed arable farm in UK. I would be very interested to visit a farm in India to compare the farming here with UK and understand the farms in Punjab would be on a similar basis to ours.

If anyone knows how I could get to visit a working farm I would be interested to know.

Not the Punjab, but as close as you can get to it...

Haryana Tourism has recently launched a farm tourism project. For details visit the Haryana Tourism office, Chanderlok Building, 36 Janpath, Delhi, and/or visit http://haryanatourism.com/pilgrim/farmtourism.asp .

I haven't been to Srinigar for a few years.
