Delhi to Kasauli - Accommodation help required urgently!

Hello all,

I, along with 6 others plan to visit Kasauli sometime during the second week of November (2009). I am familiar with the route and all. However, what I wanted to know is the following:

1. Can we get accommodation there at Kasauli? Please note that we won't be pre-booking any room(s).

2. If we do need to book the rooms in advance, then from where can I do so? I don't see any links or anything (through Google) which can guide me to a particular hotel's website where I can book rooms.

3. The group's budget is not that high. Can we get like 3 rooms or so @ maximum 700-800 bucks per room? Are there any such hotels in Kasauli?

4. Lastly, if we fail to get any vacant rooms in Kasauli, what would be the next best option? Come down to Dharampur and staying there? Or something else?

Please help guys.

Accomodation in Kasuali is limited. The best place to stay is the HP tourism's bungalow Ross Common.
On the way to Kasauli you will find some places to stay, it might include tented accomodation.

Hi Vikram, thanks for those numbers. I'll call and enquire about accommodation there.

What about other places close-by to Kasauli for accommodation for the night? Any good places near-by?

I went to Kasauli last in 2005. There were a total of 9 of us. We reached late at 10 PM and Ross Manor was booked completely.

We then headed towards the parking lot and a 2 minute walk away there was a house on rent which had like 4 bedrooms and struck a deal for 2000 for 4 rooms ! Stayed there for 2 nights .

It was quite nice - do not recall the places name BUT there are options aplenty there.

Also remember that it's a very small place and parking is away from the hotel.

Ross manor has excellent food and go there for Lunch.

there is Monkey Top there - a very tiring climb and ou visit the Hanuman Mandir there. You can also view the Air Force base from there. Photography not allowed.

@vkochar: That was a good deal, you got, I must say. Is there any hotel/ guest-houses that are not that expensive, as I am looking to get rooms between say 700 - 1200 INR max!
