day in amritsar

Guys We arrive in Amritsar at 530am and have the whole day there leaving in the evening, not having been there before can anyone give me some sort of time table for the day, places to see and go to including the main reason for going The Golden Temple, would the border be possible and help would be fantastic, Steve.

Hi Steve, as you're arriving early in the morning you should directly head for the Golden Temple, that's the best time to be there. Also about the border, I think the time is 4.30pm for the ceremony.

Is there a day trip/tourist bus service that take you to all the good places in Amritsar?

Thank you very much we have two weeks before we fly out so will be spending as much time as possible asking questions on India Mike over this time , Steve
