Budget Hotel in Chandigarh?

Hi guys

Has anyone got a good budget suggestion for Chandigarh (i realise its an expensive place).
Looking at no higher than 700 rps for double, private bathroom.

LP has suggested the Sai Baba place above the sweet shop - has anyone stayed there before (nothing in reviews).

I quite often stay at Aromas, they at least have wifi internet and the quality of the rooms is great.

Pankaj is also good, free broadband in the rooms and good quality.

The Sai Baba place is really good value at about 400 up and there is another a few doors down of similar maybe better quality by the same people.

i have been staying at Hotel Saffron, which I find to be a good balance.

So the main blocks of Sector 22-C has a really good range of places to suit all budgets but around the corner from Aromas the hotels are a bit scruffy for the 800 they charge.

Thanks so much for the advice guys!

So sector-22 sounds the best bet (just me, or it sounds like something off Startrek? LOL)

in fairness as Mira said it has nice rooms (although our toilet leaked like a river, a curious phenomenon that occurred in most hotels we stayed at for some reason).

the reason i didn't like it was that the staff were exceedingly unhelpful. it was like they'd all been rounded up off the street, given uniforms and told to act like hotel staff against their will
