Any accom in Attari? 2 days in Amritsar-enough?

I am planning to spend 2-3 nights in Amritsar on my way to Pakistan. Are there enough to do to occcupy 2 days at Amritsar?
Furthermore does anyone know if there is any accom in Attari? Thnking of going to Attari one evening, watch the flag ceremony and stay there, then cross the next afternoon to watch the same at Wagah before heading to Lahore.

Thanks in advance.

We spent 2 full days at Amritsar, plus an afternoon to go to Wagah/Attari crossing ceremony at sunset. [It took 45 minutes to one hour to drive there] - a total of 4 nights.

Be sure to ask for the VP seating at the ceremony on the India side. It's right in front, near the gate and your [I am guessing] non-Indian face will allow you access if you just look like you know where you are going.

It poured all day our first day in Amritsar and we ventured out just a little. On our now one full [dry] day there we raced around to see all we wanted to see, including spending almost 8 hours on and off at the Golden Temple. Two dry days or even three would have been better.

We stayed at CJ International in one of the 3 suites on the top floor and had good [ albeit slightly obstructed] views of the Temple from our balcony. It's an easy walk to the Temple from this hotel, just across a dusty road. And you can leave your shoes in your hotel room and avoid the shoe stand.

Hey, thanks for the tip. I was planning to stay a night at the temple itself. I read that it is quite an experience.

Staying a night in temple is no doubt a memorable night. Just follow some rules...
