Arrive/Depart: Deli
Mom (55) and Daughter (19)
First Time To India / Excited!!
Have Traveled Europe, Egypt/No Tour/Independent
Budget: Medium-High
Preliminary Plan: Deli/Agra/Jaipur/Jodhpur/Udaipur/Amristar/ Dharamsala

Hi:
Can't decide on a hotel Amritsar. Doesn't seem to be much to pick from.
Looking at Hotel Lawrence or Mohan International.
Anyone have any input???????

Hotel lawrence is one of the newer hotels. Not bad but on a very crowded street. What is your budget?

You may also want to try (Depending on your budget) Hotel Mercury Inn. It overlooks the Golden Temple on a side street.I was there in October.I paid 900 rupees for a single.

So far I've sent several emails to Hotel City Heart and Hotel Heritage Inn and neither have replied - I found them on the internet not on this forum or the guidebook. They look quite nice too, I might try Lawrence next....

OK - I just tried both email addresses for Hotel Lawrence and both bounced back!
