Smile Visiting Pune, June 10-13

Hey Pune IMers!

I'll be visiting Pune the June 10th to 13th, on a business trip from Seattle (to recruit software engineers for our dev center in Hyderabad), and I'd love to hook up with cool people while I'm there, to hang out in fun places, make a deeper connection with the city and citizen, maybe share a dinner, a drink, a chillum or a good conversation.

Who's game?
If you guys are all busy, any recommendations on good places to hang out or visit while in Pune?

- Cyril.

Hi cyrilb,

I stay in Pune and happen to work in a software company.

It's extremely hot out here right now (around 40 C). Hopefully the mansoon will arrive by the time you visit (It usually starts around 7th June). There are a lot of nice hilly places around Pune to visit during mansoon.

What do you generally enjoy the most during travel?
trekking? historical places? food?

Well I dunno where you'll be staying, but I guess you'll enjoy the area around the Osho Commune..It's Koregoan Park and it has most of the best haunts....
You can't enter the Commune since you're not a member but you can still enjoy the place....
Hang out at a place called German Bakery...it's a pretty run-down kinda cafe but you can chat up people over coffee over here..loads of locals and Commune people hang out here...
Then there is a place called Sheesha in ABC farms which is 2km ahead of Koregoan...It'S a nice place to have dinner...very wannabe-mediterranean...lol
And if you just want to have a drink..you can check out an open0air eatery called Prem's...it's my favorite place in Pune!
Hope this helps....
