pune airport to pune railway station at night

hi,
firstly, what is the distance between pune domestic airport and pune railway station? i've found inconsistent information about this.
secondly, what is the best way to travel from pune airport to pune railway station late at night? my flight arrives around 11pm. i have to catch a train at 1am.
could you also give me an estimate of how much this travel might cost?

The distance is 9.1km. I'd get a taxi at night - you'll have plenty of time to make the connection as long as your plane arrives on time - the traffic won't be bad after 11pm. No idea how much it will cost though.

150 is a reasonable price in an auto rickshaw and 300 probably for prepaid cab.

I agree with James on the time to commute would not be much.
But when you say your plane arrives at 11 pm it means you might get your luggage and would walk out earliest by 11.30 or latest by 00 hours. This would give you only one hour to go tackle with the cabbies - reach the station (maybe 20 min drive if a decent driver or 30 mins if some old guy)
You would also take time to locate the platform/find porter if required on the station which is new for you.

Suggest dont relax with the thought of you have ample time. You can catch a breath at the railway platform.

Its very much a good enough time for you to reach it but please keep in mind its just enough time due to the factors i listed.
