I would advise you to be cautious about trying street food, at least until you get a little more accustomed to the place.
What kind of food are you looking for? Something like nasi goreng? You'll have to dig around to find anything beef-based, so rendang is right out.

It's always darkest before it goes completely black.

Agree with nadreg. Do not try street food.1. You might not be accustomed to it and might get sick
2. You might not know the right places to try it.
Keep a watch on the pune meetup section if want to catch up with fellow IMers.

I guess i need to learn that tricks too
So far Pune is good to me, Koregaon park is nice and also the people i have met and know..
Autorickshaw is better than what we have in our country (its call : BAJAJ) and cheaper too

Now the weekend comes again..i am planning to go to MG road and/or Laxmi road but haven't decides it yet..can anyone gives me a descriptions what will i found there or what places should i visit?how much if i go by Autorickshaw?
thank you
ps: feel free to add any destinations and places that i should visit

Laxmi road is a typical local market (it also has some huge stores) for cloth, some extentions of it have other daily use items right from utensils to cosmetics. You will find a lot of jewelers on laxmi road. So to summarize - you will find everything (clothes, gold, utensisl, etc) BUT parking.
Laxmi road is typically a local shopping zone where you will find good variety for sarees and other ethenic wear.
MG road is a little modern - initially it had lots of stores (hawkers as well which are now moved to a grounds where they sell clothes on the street which are cheaper than the malls and yes of a lower quality) with western clothes, lots of eateries and bakeries. Parking would still be difficult to find here.
And yes weekends would mean loads of people who want to spend money and time out of homes.
