Moving to Pune, rental areas help !

Hello ! I will be moving to Pune from Bangalore. My office would be in Viman Nagar (close to the airport). What are the good areas where I can find a 1 bhk or 2 bhk with max 12000 rent? I have a wife and a year old kid.

I assume you need unfurnished apartment.

You can find the same in Viman Nagar itself. Apart from VN, Kalyani Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Yerawada, Kharadi, Wadgaon Sheri, Wagholi - these could be the suitable areas and there is no dearth of rental apartments/flats.

You can manage even if you don't have your own vehicle, if you stay at one of these areas as these places are not far from Viman Nagar.

I guess Viman Nagar itself would have an apartment to cater to your needs. Up your budget to something like 14k.. and you might a nice furnished 1 BHK. Place to look in Viman nagar: Konark Campus

I live in Mumbai. I am am being transferred to Pune and will be working at Talawade. I am looking for one, two bedroom fully furnished or semi-furnished apartments (with at least a gas connection and electricity and internet access) at a reasonable distance from Talawade.

Nigdi/Pradhikaran should be a good area for you to stay in. But this place does not have many apartments, you can find some bunglows which let out an independent room or two. Are you moving in with a family? (since you require a 2BHK) in which case you might want to consider a location preference of others in your family too. As talwade and Nigdi are a little far from the actual pune city.

Another option can pimpri chinchwad area which has newer and better townships and would require approx 30 mins travel time to office during non peak hours.

Imp - Try looking in the classified withing the company which will help you save on the agent and also will help you find better deals.

Companies like CG and Syntel do have a good bus network but a not so good buses.

.. Its good to have something than nothing especially when the work location is out of main city!!
I have an experience of TechM and IBM bus service. I found both of them at pretty much same level.

I'll be moving to Pune from Chennai by May End and i'm looking out for a 2BHK flat in/around MagarPatta City as i'll be working there.I would like know about water supply and connectivity to the city in those areas. And also is it very difficult to get a flat with wardrobes in Pune? My budget is around 15K for a 2BHK flat.

15 K a month should fetch you a semi furnished apartment, in my opinion.
About magarpatta - I had heard it has water problems- BUT let us hear from sushant as he stays nearby.

You should be able to get something in magarpatta city (in IRIS) in that budget. There is not much of water problem around magarpatta (I can vouch for that as I stay in magarpatta city).

I guess that with 12K budget, you should easily get a 1BHK fully furnished in nice society but be aware of agents as they will try to burn your pockets.

I can try to find some open spots from my company's message board as we always get some opening by the end of month.
