Good taxi services in Pune

HI, Looking for good taxi services in Pune-particularly with 1/2 day and full day deals. We used Wings in Pune which was fine enough but looking for other options. Wings costs more than Delhi cabs. Interested in good radio cabs too. I've looked it up on the web but nothing beats a recommendation. Thanks!

YA when i saw ur post name only wings came into my mind, ive lived in pune for two months and saw lots of wings , radiocabs on the roads, though I understood that they are going to be too costly.

But if you know any friend in Pune ask him to get hold of some local agent and get a cab for around 6 rs per km,,, i mean an Indica ,,,

and can I know what you exactly mean by radio cabs..because i have also travelled in cars of local agents at a damm cheap prices and they dont have radio but also have dvd player n u can watch films at no extra cost,,, so either catch hold of a link, or look in newspaper and call up some travel agents and bargain ,,, if they tell 8 rs u tell i will give 6 rs...

Thanks- radio cab

Hi, Thanks for the tip on the radio cab price. I'll have to do some research when I get there. A radio cab means the dispatcher is in contact with the cab at all times somehow. They are supposed to be safer because the dispatcher knows the location of the cab at all times. They charge a per km rate, plus a charge if they wait for you. They are best for drop off/pick up needs. Around Delhi they are a good deal for a little over a half day use, depending on what you're doing, but for a full day they get more expensive than a regular full day, 80km cab rate.

I think radio cabs will be useful only if ladies are travelling alone, but yaar you see in this world you need to trust people, when you go and book a cab with any agent it is understood that all will be ok and you will have a nice ride inspite of not knowing the city. Even many times we have travelled in unknown cities and met many types of people some good and some bad, but the percentage of bad people is very less and since I am living in a town here the credibility of people is very much more, the cab driver in my city will charge 10 rs less but will be more responsible for your safety, dont know about Pune cab but have heard that people are rude there and cheat outsiders, so better be careful and be bold just act as if you know everything, tell him your plan in detail and get a good price. Else if you wish to be more secure better go for radio cabs as you found it good.

one point i forgot to add that dude its too much to charge for waiting, if I book a cab for a day I will make him wait even 1 hour or so ,, so make these things clear,
