Chess Teachers for young children in India
Mods: please move as appropriate.
I wanted to share data(put together between myself and my bro ) on chess teachers in Pune - as of summer 2009 - this is what I have ( you can google for tel. nos etc ): [ A ] Josph D’Souza Academy : Days : Saturday and Sunday every week. Timings : 4 PM to 6 PM Tuition Fees :Rs. 600 for the first month and then Rs. 500 Per Month. Age: 4 Location : Gupte Mangal Karyalay, Opposite Kesari Office, Narayan peth. Note : It will do even if the parents do not teach (Do not KNOW ) chess to the son. [ B ] Abhijeet Kunte Academy ( or Kunte’s chess academy) Days : Saturday and Sunday every week. Timings : 5 PM to 7 PM Tuition Fees :Rs. 700 Per Month. Age: 4 will be OK Location : Diamond Nursing Club, Opposite Anandban Club, Aundh, Pune. Sounds like this is near Sus Road. Note : It will do even if the parents do not teach (Do not KNOW ) chess to the son - but they are SELECTIVE, sounds like they will even reject candidates if they aren't bright enough. The only reason a son(male) is mentioned is because I was scouting out for a grand-nephew and the responses are in that context - no sexism implied in this transaction. It will be interesting to see what happens, if anything, out of the ordinary, happens when I want to enroll a grand-niece. I will be enrolling, assuming not-by-any-means-assured parental agreement, a grand-nephew shortly and so of course I will be checking this out further, as part of a visit in the next 4/6 months, and will share data. -skk |
