there are certain rules to buy land in uttrakhand .you should belongs to uttrakhand if not then you must have same agriculture land registered in your name in state prior to year 2003 ( plese check ) .
if don't qualify then you can buy only upto 2400 squire feet of land outside municipal boundary .i.e in agricultural area or in villages that land what you bought will be mention in mutation as vishesh shreni (spl class) and require permission from district collecter at the time you tries to sell again it any body .

Building bye-laws are under Housing department. And others? only some bureaucrats must know - but they should be there.
One request folks, please research as time permits and post anything useful here. I lost patience with my slow internet in Bhimtal using an USB dongle and other better activities.
Only managed to dig out some building bye laws as these were required by my delhi architect. Can post the godforsaken scans if somebody is interested.
