HiI do not know abot boats. But you can buy a twowheeler or car.But the requirement is that you should give proof of residence,But if you are only in India for a couple of months hiring will be the best |

There is a option of you hiring a car and using it on your own, without a driver. This way your problem is solved. You cant buy a car or a two wheeler because you need a registration card called RC which required a valid residence proof.

You need a "Residential Permit" to register a car or bike in your own name.

You can't get one on a tourist visa.
You have to be in one of the categories that allows you to be resident: employment, student, spouse ('X' visa) --- but not tourist. |
