Is there any land left ???

I have been looking for land in kullu valley and after 18 months there has been 7 plots to look at with incredible price tags attached is this the norm for India nowadays is land so scarce that people can make there own rates after 7 years away we are a little shocked has any one else had the same problem or is this confined to himachal advice appriciated.

hi kullu gang, no, yours is not an isolated case; i've had the same experience in Bedoli, Dehra doon.
shocking, the moment you show interest, the price just hits the roof making one back track in horror.

Hi maryann bhardwaj in these places was the rates consitent or was there a hugh gap between different land plots.I have been given advice from my bank manager who says dont buy yet he predicts that rates have started to fall which was confirmed buy msn news who have concluded that land prices arcross india have fallen from 10-15% as the economics of the globe are changeing from day to day but it still seems to fall on deaf ears I was offered another plot in kullu yesterday there was 8 bhiga which is around 60000 ft2 with a old house as well this was priced at 25 lakh but after futher investigation it was a 2 hour drive up a the reason it was being sold was that water has now dried up there and electricity was off more then on. This is what I dont understand large amounts off money are being ask but there is no amenities for miles around in some areas ,we sold our old house in kullu last year as after 12 years the goverment water department refused a connection mainly because the villagers objected and it was not because we are outsiders my wife was local to the village they just didnt want houses outside the village to take water as in the future they could lose a lot of there supply.
