I have noticed that lot of expats are moving or planning to move to India in their Professional Pursuits. Its no longer about an one off foreigner buying land in Goa or some other tourist place.

So I just stumbled upon this article of Rediff.com whose link I am pasting below.

These are booming times indeed. Indians like you and me are planning to either buy a house for ourselves or are planning to sell an old house and move into a new one.
