Hmm. I guess you'd sit and contemplate the state of the universe for a bit whilst letting your butt dry. Maybe shake it a little, I don't know
![]() To have the cleaning hand unoccupied with cups or other activities would be of the essence yes. The bin to tuck your toilet paper in would normally be provided, the owners don't like their toilets clogging up any more than you do. Have a nice 1.

I had difficulties finding bins during my previous trip, but I suppose the availability of bins depends on whereabouts one finds oneself contemplating the availability of bins. Or the state of the universe, from now on. ![]()

Great thread.Very appropriate. Afterall, India is one of the only places in the world where travelers start talking about their toilet issues when they first meet! Some of the comments are hysterical. I personally like the Indian water way, even if it means soggy knickers. And of course hand washing after. If there is paper, I use it. And I must add that those squat toilets on trains are the best! A nice breeze blowing back up through the hole

Loo paper I if it's provided - or if I've remembered to put some in the little backpack I carry about.
Mind you, and this is a word for trekkers, hikers, climbers and "way-off-the-beaten-track'ers" - you gotta remember from WW1 and2 and probably all the other (constant) wars that it's always best to carry a small plastic container with you when you're off in the wilds somewhere. WHY? well, urine is the best possible antiseptic you can apply to cuts, grazes and worse things when the real stuff aint available. You gotta change it each day, or the healing properties are evaporated, but it's true and worth remembering because one day......ya just might get the oppurtunity to p*ss on someone - for the nicest possible reasons, of course! |

Thanks for that thoughtful gesture.
this thread is way too informative (and hilarious) to be relegated to the archives I use a spray (or wet the tissue if there is no sray) then wipe off the water with paper ![]() I am pretty picky about this ...I have a hard time in remote locations that don't have paper and when going to loos in the west that don't have water ![]() Sigh... |

I keep a hand-towel in the loo. It's only necessary to catch the drops running down the legs!
And I've really gone off this disgusting paper process!

Am reminded of the old question from the days of Star Trek, what are the similarities between the Star Ship Enterprise and toilet paper.
ANSWER: Both are going around Uranus looking for Klingons. |
