I usually pack in the weekend before. Spend rest of the week merry making
A couple of beers down the line, you realize you forgot something..
Unpack, and then pack again... again merrymaking for rest of week.

The last week before you go should be spent in a state of complete nuttiness, excitement, nervousness, happiness, and of course as much as possible asleep (after calculating the number of hours to touch down - only sleep wisks them away painlessly).

I posted my hour by hour countdown asking for suggestions how to fill the time - so wierd, it helped!

Its a week before I depart...I'm packed and have gone to the countryside. Will return home a couple of days before I fly out!

Cool nothing special

I don't do anything special on weekend, but I do start packing. I never pack the same day or the day before. I pack gradually, mostly starting a week before.

Reflecting on things past.
Looking forward immensley and with anticipation, to the trip before me.
Sometimes flying to London to get the Visa,
Feeling thankful that I go back to my son.
Trying to put the fear of flying outa my head,(even after all these miles)
Reflecting on things past!

Cheap Independent Hostels...

..... I love meeting people in hostels.. but besides YMCA and the Lonely Planet book, I dont know of anyone who has a list of independent back packer haunts..
It would be nice to start one me thinks...
