Hard one this and impossible to generalise.
The kids may be playing; out for a bit of fun by giving the tourist a hard time; desperate; organised beggars etc etc. Best to play it by ear. Many times when I have had the "kana, kana" request and offered food, the response was irritation. Other times, the food was wolfed down. Vexing issue. |
