It was a month and 9 / 10 days ago on 2nd / 3rd July.

I did mention that you guys could solve this once you saw the puzzle and rewind. Could understand that it took time.however couldn't understand the time taken after Khopoli was identified.

You are right about the time. Another bullet:
• At my age, the eyes don't work any better than the memory. I read it as June 2.
Time taken since Khopoli was identified: same prob as your last puzz – delayed by other business (then an Errand Day from Hell; now urgent harvesting of blackberries, with canning and all that).

Very well then I contradict myself,

OK, troops, here's the story: only two snaps of this place, one below by distaff, t'other later by sperehealfe. It is remotely possible that this puzzle will fall easily. More likely, it's a bit of a bitch.

Oh, yeah, and we're off to bed. So maybe the trick is to put this off till later, and someone put some other puzzle up to get through the next nine hours.

So there are only 2 snaps of the puzzle with you. I also believe there might be no other snap available on the internet.

Near the coast?

Not so. I was surprised to find a fair number, quite by accident, while poking about for information on another obscurity nearby to use as a puzzle. In fact, descriptions of this place consistently say it is well known, especially for the carvings but as I can find no information on the sculptor, despite having his name, and as I can find no detail photos of the carvings to prove anyone cares about them, I suspect the claims of fame are mostly local boosterism.

Is the reason for mentioning the above name to let us know that the temple can be found on the net using that name or will the temple be found using Bijapur also?
